IDP Education’s student placement services are often associated
with those of an educational agent. While we are certified by
the American International Recruitment Council (AIRC), we also
consider ourselves a pioneer in this growing field, working to set
standards for the industry while striving to raise the market
expectations of our firm. We believe that our placement model
is the next step forward in the evolution of the student placement
field.
Focus on match
In our distinctive model, the focus is on creating the
perfect match between student and institution. The
institutions within our portfolio provide a broad sampling of the
U.S. higher education system, meaning large/small, liberal
arts/research, rural/urban, north/south, secular/non-secular,
broad-based/special focused, etc. Our professional counselors
then work with prospects and their families to assess each
individual student and, using sophisticating matching techniques,
recommend a short list of ideal schools within our portfolio.
By partnering with us, these institutions have demonstrated their
interest in the exact type of student with which we are pairing
them.
Continued student guidance
Once the student and his or her family endorse IDP’s
recommendations, the counselors work with them to prepare the
applications and guide them through the documents and work needed
to continue through the process. Following admission, the
counselors prepare them for the visa process and coach them on
pre-departure and the early days of campus life.
Non-biased payment process
This placement process is unique in its student focus, and
with the breadth of the university partner network, we can
concentrate more on the right fit as opposed to a narrow list of
schools. Supporting this is our professional fee structure: a
consistent placement fee, paid once by the institution for each
student successfully placed. This ensures that the only
consideration is whether the student and institution are well
matched.
